Welcome parents of incoming Lincoln Center Kindergartners and 1st Graders!
Cub Scouting is an active program. Everything we do is designed to have boys participating in active learning. Activities happen at den meetings and monthly pack meetings as well as right at home with family members. They are designed to be fun and to achieve the aims of Scouting - citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness.
Last year's Lions and Tiger cubs have now advanced to Tiger Cub and Wolf Cubs and are big 1st and 2nd Graders. Ask them about their year and you will hear stories of Grand Adventures, Polar Cubs Camp, Fire Stations, Trains, Eagles, and all the other "Go See It" adventures they had. Not to mention camping and the ever popular Pinewood Derby.
We invite you to join us at our Join Scouting night each fall or any of our pack meetings.
Parents of 2nd thru 5th grade boys... You're welcome to attend our Join Scouting night as well. It's NEVER to late to join Scouts!
The Cub Scouts are open to any boy between the ages of 5 - 10 (Grades K to 5). For more information please feel free to send us an e-mail or visit one of our monthly Pack meetings. Or Join us at our Join Scouting night on September 22nd, at 6:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Center Cafeteria.

Uniforms - Wearing a uniform gives youth and adult members a sense of identification and commitment to the goals of character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. The awards displayed on the uniform mark significant milestones in every Scout and leader's progress in achieving these goals and successfully practicing Scouting's ideals. Our Pack requires an official uniform Shirt and insignia. We do not require the official pants, hat or belt, though you may buy them for your scout.
Uniforms are available at the Scout Shop in St. Paul (See info below). In the Spring the Pack provides scouts with new Neckerchiefs and advancement patches like Tiger, Wolf, Bear, etc. The family provides the other basic insignia and extra curricular Belt Loops and Pins earned.
Here is a guide to insignia placement: http://www.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/33066_Section2.pdf
Northern Star Council also has a Uniform Exchange program. This is where Scouts and Scout Leaders can get experienced (used) Scout uniforms for a nominal cost. It’s also a great way to pass on your uniforms (donations) to Scouts that are in need of a Scout uniform. All Scout shirts, pants, shorts, neckerchief, socks, patches, and more are welcome.
The exchange takes place every 2nd and 3rd Thursday of the month, from 7:00 - 8:30 PM, at Mayflower Congregational Church (106 East Diamond Lake Road Minneapolis, MN).
